About Hayesville, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Hayesville, North Carolina is a Clay County town, and it serves as the county seat. As of 2010, the total population had barely reached 300 residents, and with less than .5 square miles of total area, the community is also small geographically. Hayesville is situated on the site of Quanassee, a former Cherokee town that is found along the Trading Path. The town’s current name was given for Mr. George Hayes, a former area politician, and it was formally incorporated in March 1913.
Despite its small size, there are several notable attractions located in Hayesville that visitors and residents might enjoy. The Ridges Golf Club is a popular destination on a summer afternoon, and there are several campgrounds located in the area: Jackrabbit Campground and the Ho-Hum Campground. The Peacock Playhouse and Performing Arts Center is also located in this community, and it offers a variety of unique performance events throughout the course of the year.
Residents of Hayesville will need to invest in both home heating and cooling systems to stay comfortable throughout the year. While the community is found within a humid subtropical climate zone, winters tend to be cooler here than other portions of the Southeast. Average January temperatures may only reach the low 40s, but the thermostat can drop significantly overnight. Without a heat pump or furnace in place, dangerously cold conditions could cause interior pipe work to freeze.
Spring in Hayesville is warm and rainy, and it is recommended that home owners take advantage of these comfortable conditions by having their air conditioner units serviced. The summers in Hayesville can be oppressively hot and humid, so interior climate controls are needed in order to stay comfortable. Servicing an air conditioner during the spring will ensure that it is fully functional and operating at maximum efficiency when it is needed.
